Our story

Who we are. What we do.

We love compelling storytelling

Nina Vinther Andersen leads the Academy of Storytelling – or Talerakademiet, as it’s called in Danish. She is the author of the book ‘The art and science of public speaking – a practical and scientific guide to storytelling.’

While receiving intensive presentation training in the United States, she learned the compelling American storytelling tradition more rarely used in Denmark, where the Academy of Storytelling is based.

Today, hundreds of people have undergone the Academy’s training in the evidence-based techniques that make them inspiring presentators, compelling storytellers and powerful at pitching ideas, so they have gone from good to better presenters from C-level to all other levels in the organisation.

Nina Vinther Andersen holds a master’s degree in Political Science and a degree in Journalism. She has worked as head of PR at Deloitte, been an external lecturer at the University of Roskilde, and taught at the Danish School of Journalism. Before starting The Academy of Stories, she produced TV and radio documentaries and news programs for the Danish Broadcast Company and TV2 and worked for national newspapers.
